Answer your insurance application with evidence, not memory.
Cyber-insurance applications ask yes or no questions about your security. A "yes" that turns out to be wrong can put a claim at risk. CoverProof checks each answer against your actual systems and gives you plain-English evidence for every control.
What carriers ask about
Every carrier's form is different, but most ask about the same controls:
- Multi-factor authentication on email, remote access and admin accounts
- Endpoint protection on every computer and server
- Backups that are separate from the network and actually tested
- Email security and filtering
- Patching, and no end-of-life software
- A written incident response plan
- Staff security awareness training
- Who has admin access, and why
What you get
- Evidence for each answer. Pulled from your systems where we can: your Microsoft 365 or Google tenant, your device and endpoint tools, your DNS and email settings.
- Cross-checks. A computer that shows up in one tool but is missing from another is exactly the gap an application question is asking about. We look for those.
- A short fix list. What to change before you answer "yes", in order of what the carrier cares about most.
- A plain-English summary you can share with your broker.
- Drift checks after you sign, so a control that quietly turns off gets noticed before renewal.
How it works
- Send us the applicationOr the renewal questionnaire, and the date it is due.
- Grant read-only accessWe collect evidence with the least access the check needs, and remove it when we are done.
- Review the findings togetherEach control marked as backed by evidence, partly in place, or a gap, with what it would take to fix.
- Fix, then answerYou or your IT provider close the gaps. We re-check before you sign.
CoverProof provides security evidence. It is not insurance advice, we don't sell insurance, and only your carrier decides coverage. Your answers on the application are yours to make.
Who it's for
- Small and mid-size businesses facing a new policy or a renewal
- Owners who were asked a question they couldn't answer for sure
- IT providers and MSPs who fill out these forms for their clients (see the partner page)
Common questions
Will this lower my premium?
We can't promise that. Pricing is the carrier's decision. What we can do is help make sure every answer you give is backed by evidence.
Do I need to switch IT providers?
No. We work with your current IT provider and give them the fix list.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the business and how quickly access is granted. Tell us your deadline on the first call and we will tell you straight away whether we can meet it.
Not sure where to start?
Tell us what you are seeing or what your renewal asks for. We reply with a plain next step.
